I don't know about you, but as the weather starts to get warmer and we start to reach the mid-50s, I kind of refuse to look at any of the sweaters in my closet anymore. I suddenly feel in desperate need of a wardrobe refresh. Well, I'm at least looking to add a few key pieces that will bring a bit of color and lightness to my wardrobe. Here at Lexie, we love Spring and we have a beautiful collection of Spring appropriate goodies that you may want to think about adding into your closet.
1. White + Warren Neon Daffodil Cardigan
The color of this cardigan says it all. The fitted style makes this the perfect stand-alone piece tucked into a pair of jeans with your favorite sneakers. However, it can also be worn over any of your favorite spring dresses to add some color and keep you warm all while transitioning. The cardigan features small slits on the sides and on the cuffs and it doesn't get much better than this (shh don't tell but there is a reason this is number 1 on the list).
2. Denimist Moore Trucker Jacket
We are obsessed with this innovative take on the beloved and cherished jean jacket. Denimist brings its own twist with a solid blue wash and cropped sleeves. Pair with Denimist's Striped T-Shirt in blue & white underneath and let the sleeves show a bit under the crop. Perfect to wear as alone as a jacket when it gets warmer or to layer when we still need a few of those.
3. The Great Herringbone Trooper Pant
For a lighter and more polished take on trendy army cargo pants, opt for these straight-leg pants from The Great. The color and style make it perfect to go with just about anything, and if you're feeling bold, with our The Great Herringbone Acre Top.
4. Aquarius Cocktail Tie-Dye Olive Slip Dress
A perfect addition into your wardrobe. If you have stepped outside any time within the last couple of months, you'd know that tie-dye has been having a major moment. Here at Lexie, we've always loved tie-dye and consider it a neutral, so we essentially see this slip as a closet staple. Wear it dressed up with pumps or keep it casual with sneakers or an edgy leather bootie.
If you want high-waist then you've picked the correct blurb to read. Featuring a high-waist, wide-leg, and light-wash, the sailor pant will be your new go-to denim. We love the idea of this pair with a plain white tee or a slouchy sweater tucked into the front. Whatever you choose, we know it will look good. The best part is they could definitely be dressed up due to their trousers appeal.
This romantic swirly dress will be your new favorite LBD in no time. Pair it with boots, sneakers, or sandals--the limit does not exist. The long sleeves make it a perfect transitional piece from the cold into a warmer spring, but the short length allows it to be worn all through summer (and maybe even to fall). Even though it's black and we are talking about Spring here, the romantic detail in the pleated skirt makes it perfect for frolicking. And because it's black, it will go with just about anything--jewelry, jackets, bags, etc.
7. Agolde Balloon Sleeve Sweatshirt
Update your sweatshirt collection with this fresh powder blue addition. Featuring the most subtle but necessary ombre, get ready to welcome color and comfort into your Spring wardrobe. We love this style because although it is a sweatshirt, it hits right at the waist for a slouch-free look that can be worn for just about any occasion.
8. Denimist Button Front Shirt
Red and white stripes. Need we say more? This cool and collected oversized shirt will make you believe that red is your new go-to over any gray or black tops. Pair this top with just about any wash of denim: light, dark, even white.
Although florals in Spring may not be groundbreaking, they are definitely necessary. This version of a floral from The Great is definitely one of our favorites. The puff sleeve and western-inspired details make this top special. Delicate enough to be paired with anything, but bold enough to make a statement.
